Financial/Insurance

It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. Our office accepts payments by cash, checks, and Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. We also offer low- and no-interest financing options through the CareCredit system. If you have any questions about financing or payment, ask us! We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs.

Insurance

If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Insurance policies vary, so we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action.

We are a preferred provider for Delta Dental. We ask that you check with your dental carrier because we are not a provider for all Delta Dental plans, as some are self-funded. Once treatment has started, we will file your dental claims only.

To help us with your insurance filing, please bring your dental insurance card and all necessary information regarding your dental/orthodontic benefit to your appointment to complete a signature on file form.

Please remember that dental and orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, you are accountable for all charges.

Dental Benefit Holders

There are two misconceptions regarding routine dental benefits -

My dental plan covers 2 check-ups per year

This states they will cover 2 exam fees.   Our pediatric doctors recommend a dental exam, dental cleaning, fluoride treatment and dental films at each recare visit.  All these services may not be covered or a covered benefit with your dental carrier and may depend upon your coverage year.    We recommend you review your dental benefits prior to scheduling.   Any amount not covered, is your resopnsibility.

My dental plan covers 100% of check-ups and 80% of everything else

These percentages are all based upon your dental plan UCR (usual and customary fee).  The UCR fee is determined by your dental plan and is not always the fee charged.  Any amount over your benefit UCR is your responsibility.  Children's Dental Center uses the tooth colored filling material (composite) for all fillings.   There is a fee difference from using this material.    Most dental plans make the allowance for an amalgam (silver) filling.

For the above reasons, that is why you will receive a statement for any balance due.  Our office will collect only a percentage of the dental fee when treatment is completed for your child.  This is NOT considered your entire portion due.   Your portion due is determined upon receipt of the dental benefit payment.
